After School Band
The After-School Band Program provides both beginning and intermediate instruction on woodwind, brass and percussion instruments for 4th-6th graders at all 27 of Fremont Unified School District's elementary schools. We are happy to provide 25 weeks of instruction from mid-October through late April. This section of the Fremont Education Foundation site offers detailed information about our program. Funding
The ASB program is not paid for by your tax dollars! It is entirely funded by the generosity of our band families and community members. Help keep our successful ASB program thriving as we enter our 12th year! With your support, bands will keep on playing, on all 27 elementary school campuses in the Fremont Unified School District--directly benefiting about 1100 students!
We need to raise $140,000 this year to support this important program. With 1100 students on our rosters and an ever growing demand for more seats and more weeks, we gratefully accept contributions of $250, $150 or $50--whatever you can afford. Every donation counts! And, remember to check if your employer offers matching. That can often double the impact of your donation!

The After-School Band Program provides both beginning and intermediate instruction on woodwind, brass and percussion instruments for 4th-6th graders at all 27 of Fremont Unified School District's elementary schools. We are happy to again provide 25 weeks of instruction from mid-October through late April. Each band will participate in an Attendance Area Concert at their local high school. This concert is a wonderful opportunity for the students to work towards a performance and hear the other musicians at elementary and junior high school levels. After School Band students also perform at their schools, at community Tree-Lightings, at the Fremont Senior Center and other local events.
Community Support
The After School Band program is funded by donations from our present and past band families, and members and business in our local community. We do not receive funding from the school district, nor from state or federal government sources. Neighboring school distrcts charge over $250 for nearly identical 4th-6th grade band programs. Because of your generosity, and that of our hard working volunteers, we are able to offer an affordable program, and not turn any child away. We are happy that we can offer an affordable, quality band experience for all our students.
