The Innovative Education Grants program was the first program sponsored by the Fremont Education Foundation, founded in 1991. These grants fund innovative, quality classroom programs in grades K-12 and are aimed at increasing student academic achievement, creativity, leadership, critical thinking, physical fitness and health, skills in diversity and conflict resolution, and experiences in the visual and performing arts. Individual grants are awarded for amounts up to $3,000.
The Foundation is pleased to announce that $40,000 in innovative grants have been awarded for 2012-2013. Thank you to the generous donors at our annual Excellence in Education Gala who made this possible! Also, thank you to Cargill for their grant of $7,500 towards science, technology, engineering, and mathematics grants.
